Bookworm Starter-pack

Image
I'm not really devoted to reading but I do like to read  at some point, especially when I was still in high school. I was really fond of reading stories back then.  So, in this post I will share to you the first few books that opened my soul to the world of novels and poetries. These books were my first mini novels and it really warmed my heart, taught me lessons in life, and broaden my imagination. I don't have the actual books as I just borrowed them in the school library, hence, the pictures are all from the internet. In addition, these books are very short like it can be finish in one day or less. All of these are very lightweight and can be read by anybody -- young or old. So if you're new to reading novels or you want to start a reading hobby, this is a good starter-pack for you!       The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes This short story is very meaningful and simple. This story talks about a girl who is always teased by her classmates becaus...

How Genuine Self-awareness Change My Game?

Image
It's been a year since I realize I was missing this piece. The very learning I needed to acquire to survive. It was so naïve of me, somewhat a pity to not know deeply its meaning. I have been through shitty times in the middle of my med school years and   knowing about this now made me think that I was really on my edge during those dark times; and I wasn't sure how I went through it given that I was so helpless. Nevertheless, genuine self-awareness was the fruit of that storm. Self-awareness is so over-rated. We've been taught in school or by motivational writers/speakers on knowing ourselves - our strengths and weaknesses. The things that we want and we don't want, even our insecurities - everything about us in and out encompasses a genuine self-awareness. But the thing is, on self-growth, being aware doesn't end there. We often overlook the very essential element that comes with it and that is its importance. So why do we need to know the importance of being self...

Turning it Down + New Playlist

Image
Unfortunately, I just realized I can't keep up with making Youtube videos while making blog posts and studying. So I decided to turn down my channel for now. However, since I really really love to make playlists I created a Spotify account for it. I'll be posting here all the playlists that I can make -- of various genres and sort. I have already posted my first playlist called p enelope . It is a catchy romantic korean playlist that you can enjoy anytime of the day. If you're curious as to why it is named as such, it is because I can associate myself to this name. Besides that, the track list is a stimulant for daydreaming, as to speak I'm always a daydreamer. Another thing is, I also posted a new playlist called afternoon breather . This is a soft but upbeat, undertoned korean playlist for your lazy afternoon. So please do check them now and don't forget to follow! Here is a quick preview of the playlist💕                ❤️follow my blog fo...

Karma: A Wrongdoer's Perspective

"What goes around, comes around." -- The infamous line that maybe a lot would agree into but not me, for at the very least I don't oppose to it either.  It's just there's something with the quote that I don't quite get. I feel like every time I hear it, it's kind of like a punishment when you do something evil to others. Is it too one sided? Same goes to the thought that you have to be kind and good things will come back to you. Is this bribery? I always like to look at life as a complex matter for the reason that whatever we are in right now is a product of multiple factors. So that is why when it comes to good and evil I like to see it beyond its antagonistic characters. Back as a child, we were taught that these two are completely separate entities and when we do something good, we are good and if we do the opposite, we are bad. While this concept made moral standards easier back then, as I grow old I slowly realized that we cannot just think it this wa...

"You need to be cruel in order to be kind."

I'm not sure if expressing my opinion about this is a right thing to do. These words are too upsetting for me mentally and talking about it drains and makes me vulnerable. I don't mind being transparent on my feelings actually, however, opening up about this might release all my pent up negativities inside. Those dark and evil thoughts that I never say to those who are close to me. I'm definitely scared as you can see. Scared that what I'm about to say will get invalidated. That I might be judged for being like this. But, I want to take a small step forward - out of my comforts. Even just a little and maybe things would be a tad bit better for me and for everyone.   This was my first time hearing this line and I never, in my mind, thought of anything like this.   I was sad, angry, and felt hopeless when I heard it. I'm confused. Why does this person have this kind of mindset?   To be honest, I understand how this line works. I really do. I get it. Lear...
