Underneath the canopy

Every afternoon as I wait for my next class, I always take time to see the beauty of nature above me. I look up and see a very calming atmosphere that withdraws me from the chaotic reality.  Look at it! I know it's hard to feel what I feel when you just have a picture of the scene than experiencing it in actual. Yet, I may describe it as good as I can for you to imagine such. This is my favorite time of the day; to see such bright green and friendly brown colors of the tree, shading you off from the translucent rays of the sun. The sunlight is actually clearing out the sky that clouds are nowhere to be seen. Summer is really coming. The sky reveals such. The rain didn't visited our place for the past few weeks and it may be alarming to our farmers to have this kind of weather.     My head tilted and rested upon the bench I sat on. I could already differ the life of being surrounded by mother nature from infrastructures. Peaceful and Free.

Reads: Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Hey! It's been a week since I had done a new post. It has been rough in school since pre-finals and finals week are approaching. However, I did find time to depart myself from reality as I had read a new book that I borrowed from my friend. This is exactly a no fairy tale kind of novel that it really cuts you deep as if you were the characters in the story.  It's not my thing to read a slightly dramatic book, yet I appreciate that I somehow learned something out of it. I realized that this kind of novels opens me up to a possible real life situation where life or love is more of what it is capable of giving. After reading this book, I concluded that Love can make or break you. Indeed, it's true. Love is strong. It can bend, change, twist, and transform everything into good or bad. Nevertheless, I always say to myself that whatever love may give it will always for the better, for yourself, for him, and for everyone. Overview Ugly Love by Colleen ...

Valentines Treats!

Image
Here are my Valentines gifts for my aunties! Yesterday, I was planning to buy some gifts but I didn't have any clue on what to give. After our class, I went to Centrio Mall  to search for the perfect gifts. I wasn't so sure so I was roaming around the mall. I went to Robinsons Department store  and saw this Redondo  wafer sticks. This sweet cookies and cream stick-O is a very nice gift for people who is not really fond of sweets but also enjoys it just bits by bits. Next stop, I went to the ground floor and saw a line of cakes and pastries stall. I went around and saw this very cute cake in a jar. I bought it knowing that my aunt C. likes cute things and I chose the blueberry cheesecake over Red velvet since I already gave her Red velvet cupcake last year.  Lastly, as I was still roaming around the stalls I passed by a coconut beverages. My soul jumped as I remembered that my aunt J. likes coconut drinks. So, I bought it. ...

Million Volunteer Run

Image
PS. This was before the pandemic happened. I was a Red Cross member in school and this was one of their biggest event. My friends and I joined the Million Volunteer Run of  Red Cross last Saturday.  It was a fundraising activity nationwide. Basically all the money obtained are allocated to the improvement of the Red Cross facilities and equipment.  I had so much fun during their Zumba warm-up and cool down exercises because their instructor was really engaging and their music was compelling enough for you to move to the beat.  As the run started, I haven't reach 1km yet I was already getting out of breath. Truthfully, I'm not an active person so it just really make sense. When we reach 1km or maybe pass that, a man of his 30s or 40s was already going back the track. We were so amazed by his speed though! The run was only 3 kilometers, maybe it was a piece of cake to him.  Overall, I was happy taking part of this event. It's nice to be social...

Life of Love

Image
Love is the moment when you came out from your mother's womb. The gentle caress of your parents as they cuddle you in their arms as a baby.  Love is when you ate a lot of your first favorite food which is peanut butter and jelly sandwich. When you run into the living room and watch your favorite afternoon show.  Love is when you started schooling and find new friends. When you are excited to attend your favorite subject and get As on it. Love is when your parents began to teach you after doing something wrong. Love is the moment when you entered the stage of puberty. The stage where you come to mold your self, build self confidence, and explore the perspectives of different people.  Love is when your heart jumps when you see your special someone. The tickles brought by his voice and smile. The moments of challenges that will break your bond. Love is that person... Love starts from the beginning towards forever. Love brought us here in this world. It guided us. I...
